Sneak Peek

The exhibits team at the Institute of Texan Cultures has almost finished the installation of a great new Smithsonian produced exhibition called “Ramp It Up: Skateboard Culture in Native America.” The exhibit officially opens on November 2nd and  features 20 skate decks, including examples from Native companies and contemporary artists, rare images and video of Native skaters. The museum will also be hosting a Family Day at the museum in conjunction with this exhibit on November 16th, from 10am until 2pm. This event will feature  family-friendly activities that celebrate skateboarding culture: art, music, language and more!

Above are a few sneak peek images from the exhibition for you to enjoy. If you want to see it in person, this exhibit will be at the Institute of Texan Cultures from November 2nd until January 5th, 2014.
